Not far from the central bustle of Hannam-dong, Fermata is housed in a peaceful atelier accessed through a small garden. The store, whose interior contrasts concrete flooring with vintage furniture, stocks clothes designed by founder Adele Choi: linen pantsuits and cotton dresses in loose cuts and natural tones. Choi focuses on durability and sustainability in her ready-to-wear line, but pairs her collections with accessories, shoes and leather goods from designers around the world including Linge Particulier, Anne Thomas, La Botte Gardiane and Dragon. The store, co-directed by her husband, pattern maker Yoon Kwon-jin, also stocks a small range of Tunisian home accessories and La Soufflerie’s glassware.
