I grew up in the South and remember seeing churchgoers dressed head to toe in yellow and green, with matching shirts, ties and hats. They were never afraid to be declarative with the clothes they wore.

Something as simple as color can provoke a profound reaction in people—I’ve always tried to channel that in my approach to fashion, and now also in interiors. What I love about Carte Blanche—the range of paints and wallpaper patterns I recently designed for Farrow & Ball—is that I can provide tools for people to express themselves with color.
